It’s been awhile since Ariel mat his coach and Ivelisse seems keen on testing how far he’s come, if the initial chain is any indicator, it’s pretty far. Slowly but surely Ivelisse stats to carve out an advantage and is still coaching along the way. Case in point locking in a tight Headscissor and deliberately pulling Ariel away from the ropes but turns out he doesn’t need a rope break countering into a Headlock. A really nasty Hammerlock combo does require Ariel to get a rope break demonstrating his ring awareness, clearly a product of his coaching. The pride continues with a very acrobatic Wristlock sequence of one-upsmanship. Psychological warfare on the other hand isn’t his strong suit as Ivelisse draws him in and puts her highly educated boots to very good use. Chokes and kicks to the chest rob Dominguez of breath but he still almost takes Ivelisse’s breath away countering a submission into a tight roll up for a near fall. A desperation high impact move leaves both coach and student at square one but youthful exuberance and adrenaline combine for quite the rally, only a sloppy cover and a coaching denying the upset. It seems both have the same finisher in mind and either Ivelisse wins of she’s proud of her pupil, so she can’t lose right?
