Publisher's Summary This program includes a bonus prologue. From number one New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson comes a special gift edition of Edgedancer, a short audiobook from the Stormlight Archive (previously published in Arcanum Unbounded). Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older - a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility. ©2017 Brandon Sanderson (P)2017 Macmillan Audio

They could have fit this story into the next book.Don't waste your credit.
Without any spoilers, this 2.5 book in the stormlight series was amazing. A whole novel worth of secrets and loose ends tied up in a novella? Amazing. Also loved the little one on one with time with the youngest heroine in our story so far. Her little scenes in book 2 were hilarious. Kate Reading with another great performance. A must read before book 3!
must listen before oathbringergreat book nine fraught seen six give four three two ones
I really enjoyed this book many funny parts I definitely read before book three. I am glad they mentioned it in the beginning of book three. In this series she is so pppo the funniest and one of my favorite characters. Rock is also great these two have to be the funniest in this series. Note Rock is not in this book. I am starting book three now. Definitely read this series all four books. 1; 2; 2.5 and 3.
The Stormlight Archives continue to deliver what many other fantasy series only promise: exciting, thoughtful, fantastic, interesting, complex action backed by solid character and world development. Of the hundreds of fantasy novels I have read these are the cream of the crop.
You know, this is a book that could honestly sound good if read by someone else. For whatever reason, the combination of Kate's enunciations and Lift's dialogue just do not go together... at all; should have just read this book. Honestly, while Brandon seems to really like this character, I find her to be a pretty close copy of Ed from Cowboy Bebop. While it's a nice departure from the standard character archtype, it's also a character that I found harder to like because of how inconsistent she is.
