Yale’s ASL Program is offered by the department of Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS). The FAS is home to 1,000+ faculty and 40+ departments and programs that span the divisions of Humanities, Social Science, and Science, and provide the instruction to the students of Yale College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

“Project 14,” a collaboration of the Yale Glee Club, Yale Bands, and Yale Symphony Orchestra, features performances of 14 works by composers of color, each taking place in a residential college courtyard. Since 2019, Yale students have been “learning the ropes” in Yale Club Jump Rope, one of 50 club sports offered to undergraduate and graduate students through Yale Athletics, and among the newest ones. In the club, participants master the challenging skills of turning the ropes (and often more than one rope simultaneously, as well learning new jumping “tricks.” Members of the club hail the sport for being a high cardio activity as well as an exercise that demands being in sync with fellow jumpers and rope twirlers.
