One of the most indomitable titans on the roster takes on one of the most accomplished in a match that is nothing if not a mutual acknowledgment of extreme respect. It even begins with Kong making sure the ref mentions LeiLani’s legendary status in his ring announcement. But, as Kong also points out, respect doesn’t mean she’ll take it easy on LeiLani and, boy, does she deliver on that promise. This is a match where the ropes get a lot of play. Arm punishment is a big focus for Kong as she puts LeiLani in cruel armbars and yanks her arm into unnatural angles around the ropes, not to mention using them for choking. She also puts LeiLani through the wringer with a combination armbar/neckscissors and a back-breaking Camel Clutch, prompting the veteran to scream with agony. Don’t count LeiLani out though–decades of experience aren’t exactly irrelevant. She fights back with plenty of knife edge chops, vicious chokes and arm-destroying meanness of her own. It’s when the ladies graduate to leg punishment that things get even more interesting and by the time one lady is downed by one final monster chop followed by a splash, both athletes are looking decidedly worse for wear.
