Wrestling Bios Presents - The Story of WrestleMania II WrestleMania 2 is probably the most ambitious show the WWE has ever put on. Riding a wave of popularity after the success of the first WrestleMania, Vince McMahon's plan was to make the sequel a much bigger spectacle. WrestleMania II took place in 3 different locations. New York, Chicago and LA all hosted their own WrestleMania show, and the Pay Per View / Closed Circuit presentation put each show together to form the WrestleMania 2 broadcast. Each venue had 4 matches, each with their own main event, and fans in attendance watched the other locations on big screens while there was no live action in the ring. Was WrestleMania 2 a success though? Did Vince McMahon and the WWF manage to top their previous wrestling extravaganza? With superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, George Steele, Ricky Steamboat and Andre The Giant all competing, this should have been the ultimate sequel.
