Publisher's Summary A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging and humorous account of temptation - and triumph over it - ever written. ©1942 C. S. Lewis Pte. Ltd. (P)2012 HarperCollins Publishers Ltd.

What did you love best about The Screwtape Letters?Joss Ackland did a fantastic job narrating this book. He had the perfect voice for Screwtape.
Almost didn't finish it. For me it was very unsettling. Probably because it brings up too many truths. And maybe that's the way it should be.
personally not my kind of book. picked up very little. mere Christianity was much better. great divorce was also better than this
Very insightful. Biblical truth looked at from the other side. Evil does exist in the world.
An eye opening book about what the spirits on the dark side are plotting. It acts as a window into the spiritual world we cannot see.
I listened to this book on a long road trip. Great book, but I would not recommend listening in one sitting. I think it would be better read. Much too wordy for a listen without seeing the language. Im going to buy the hard copy and read one letter at a time and then ponder and discuss the content.
