Wrestling Bios Presents - The Career of William Regal : 1983 - 1998 William Regal is one of the unsung heroes of professional wrestling. Many newer WWE fans know Regal as the NXT general manager, but those who have studied pro wrestling would know that William Regal was one of the most gifted technical wrestlers of all time, mixing the British catch style with other forms of wrestling he had learned while working around the world. William Regal gained international fame in WCW where he worked as Lord Steven Regal from 1993 to 1998. He is mostly remembered for his 4 Television Title reigns and his time in The Blue Bloods tag team. Steven Regal displayed a style not commonly seen on American wrestling shows at the time, and even with time constraints, Regal was able to have some incredible wrestling matches with the likes of Arn Anderson, Antonio Inoki, Fit Finlay, and many of the WCW Cruiserweights. His character in World Championship Wrestling was entertaining, and his matches were always gripping. In this first of a 2 part series, we look at The Career of William Regal.
