One wrestler’s fragile ego ruins a potential test of strength with a cheap shot and the match is on the verge of degenerating into a strike fest but a pinkie swear later we are back to clean, competitive wrestling. The counter wrestling is back but the caliber of holds increases including trading crossface variants. A spiked DDT scores the first, spoiler, not last, near fall of the match. A seemingly minor collision that both seem to get the worst of actually turns into a major turning point as one wrestle comes up lame and the other capitalizes. Plenty of leg work in the form of submissions a, a leg DDT and even pulling down a knee pad to expose the knee cap really slow the pace. Frustration leads to some corner work and choking but soon the injured leg is again the focal point, tormented in a Figure Four variant. Just when it seems resilience is only prolonging the inevitable come the taunts, followed by an adrenaline surge and a furious comeback that sees several near falls! As the surge falters momentum swings with one wrestler looking for a finisher several times only to find them self on the wrong end of that very move!
