It's rare for a new champion to basically flop on arrival on account of their design capabilities typically being much more... well... capable than older champions. Yet on occasion they do, as evident by the likes of Rell and Naafiri. In the case of the latter her gameplay was problematic enough for Riot to issue a fairly major ability rework roughly a year after she came out. What exactly was wrong with the old one?
