Best of 3 Falls action between some technically gifted athletes. Angel Williams serves as guest ref for this one. Some excellent chain wrestling to start as you'd expect from these two. Headlocks, Hammerlocks and Headscissors are applied and reversed with great proficiency before Portia gains the advantage by grounding her adversary. Portia bends the rules here and there, but it pays off when she catches Mercedes in a Sleeperhold for the first fall. The second fall shows how resourceful Mercedes can be when the need arises. She first counters a dangerous Fujiwara Armbar into a double underhook variation, then slips out of a Full Nelson to trap Portia in a Boston Crab and Headscissors for the second fall. In the third and deciding fall, one wrestler shows tremendous toughness after her leg takes a severe pounding. Refusing to give up, she finds her second wind and gets the win with a Dragon Sleeper out of nowhere.
