I am a teenage girl and read this book and it made me think about things I had not thought about before. It was a type of book that I could not put down as it was so engaging. I thought the girl was a bit self-centred and she annoyed me at times because she could not see the perpectives of people that truly cared about her. However, I think people should think before they say hurtful things to others. You never know how much your words can affect a person - even to the extent that they commit suicide.
I would not recommend this book to anyone who has trouble dealing with death or the concept of suicide. That being said, I think it is important that people read/listen to a book of this sort, just to reemphasize that everyone has their own story, and something you may think is trivial could just be the straw that breaks the camel's back.I thought the narration was excellently done.I'm glad there were two narrators, because that gave it the ability to sound more like a dialogue than someone just reading pages from a book.
Would you listen to Thirteen Reasons Why again? Why?The synopsis of this story seemed interesting, yet a little morbid/sad.I thought this book was very well put together and the narration was pretty good, although a little hard to follow at times (I think that’s just me not being able to follow since I was listening in my car and it was my first audiobook!)I would definitely listen to this audiobook again, not only because I loved it but I could probably find some things I missed the first time around! Any additional comments?Being this is my first experience listening to an audiobook and although it took some time getting use to, when it was soon going to be over, I didn’t want it to end! This is such a good way to make an hour drive to/from work go so much faster!
