"The Rebel" StarBuck suffered a world of hurt at the hands of Blackpool, England's Sam Gradwell two weeks ago in Seinäjoki, Finland in their first-ever SLAM championship title match encounter. StarBuck had been hit with a nasty flu making the rounds across Finland two weeks before this match. The Finnish wrestling pioneer had a 40+ degree fever just a week out from the Wrestling SLAM event at Rytmikorjaamo on December 9, and had been unable to do any form of training or physical preparation for that period. Needless to say, StarBuck entered the SLAM title match in a compromised state, which he never publicly shared prior to the event, leaving him at less than 100% as he faced Sam Gradwell. The grand commissioner of European professional wrestling, England's Marty Jones, has taken this detail into consideration and now has granted the father of Finnish pro wrestling a new opportunity at the SLAM championship held by Sam Gradwell, upcoming on February 10, 2024 in Helsinki, Finland. However, the SLAM champion Sam Gradwell has presented an ultimatum in light of this rematch: StarBuck either wins or if he loses, must retire after the three decades that he has spent in the game worldwide.
