في الموسم الخامس، تجرى أعمال تجديد داخل السجن بعد انفجار الغاز، وتستمر الصراعات الحادة على السلطة. ويموت عدد من أفراد عائلات السجناء في حادث تحطم حافلة، كما يُطعن (أوغسطس هيل) حتى الموت أثناء دفاعه عن والده بالتبني، ويصاب (سعيد) بأزمة قلبية.
