Karate has proven itself to be a powerful catalyst to the mixed martial arts game with the likes of George Saint Pierre, Stephen Thompson, Conor McGregor, and many more proving that there are element to this game that have a higher tier of effectiveness. Distance management, timing, footwork... Even if at first glance the discipline may seem ornamental to some, when other elements are learned like Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling... When you mix it with other martial arts, as a base it can no longer be denied. That said, in the kick boxing arena, Tenshin Nasukawa has been absolutely dominating.
